Sewing a Stuffed Christmas Bear

Here is one of the girls I am teaching to sew. She made this stuffed bear with mock quilted coat and hat. She had to topstitch the coat and hat on to batting. She did a great job, didn't she!It took her about 8-9 hrs to finish but she kept at it!

I think it is a lot more fun to learn to sew when you want to make something. That way you are more motivated. She wanted to sew as one of her goals for her young women's personal progress program at church. They had a night were the girls show all the things that they have been learning for the year.
